Who are the Fiber Artists of Northern Arizona?

About Us

Fiber Artists of Northern Arizona (FANA) are weavers, spinners, dyers, knitters, wool growers, crocheters, basket-makers, felters, and other textile technique enthusiasts who gather together to encourage growth in fiber media by educating, supporting, and inspiring the fiber arts community in Northern Arizona. All fiber media are welcome.

We are a small guild and are building up our membership and expanding our areas of interest.

Fiber education is a large part of our mission, both out in the community and within the group. We have a lovely tradition of helping each other learn new techniques. There are some experts at various techniques in the group, but beginners are welcomed and nurtured. Most of us are learning new media and techniques from each other or from our program presenters, so we’re all beginners at something. Enthusiasm is as important as experience in this group.
